Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission

Millennium Solar Electric Training Academy was founded in 2017 and took flight in 2018 under the FEIA Workforce Development Program. Aim to train low-income student including ex-offenders, minorities, current and former-foster children, women and veterans, living in and around environmental justice community in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for solar employment generated by the future energy jobs act FEIA. Our overall objective is to teach our students on the environmental benefits of solar energy through demonstration and examples.

Our vision

Our vision is to expand the use of sustainable living resources threw public awareness, political advocacy, and initiatives. Our location will become the New Technology Community Center.  We will offer the state of the art technology for the community to take part in. We currently offer Photovoltaic Solar, Electrical Construction, and Energy Efficiency training.

Millennium Solar Electric Training Academy (MSETA) has successfully graduated the eighth cohort of PV Associate certified technicians, with the next training starting soon. We have trained more than 200 Solar Certified technicians with a high percentage of them holding high paying positions. To help accomplish the goal of delivering a high quality of Solar PV training for all levels.  MSETA is a NCCER accredited program where each trainee will earn up to four industry accreditations after of completion with a direct pathway for the NABCEP Certification.  Our training facility is one of the few NABCEP training providers and testing locations in Illinois.
